Erin Bergstrom is the founder of Morning Sky Ministries. She has known and loved Jesus since she was a teenager growing up in Loveland, Colorado. Her other greatest joy in life was raising a large and active family. She now has ten grandchildren. One of them is in heaven.
In this season of her life, Erin wants to introduce men, women and children to the complete and transforming love of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This Triune God is three yet one, and at the center of Erin’s life. As a Christian woman and evangelist, she wants to do God’s will.
Erin writes and speaks out of her own sorrows and joys, weaknesses and strengths, sins and accomplishments, fears and faith. These things have helped her prepare to share our living Lord’s message of accountability, repentance, healing and the joy of knowing them in a real and personal way.
Along with having a vital relationship with God, Erin has been part of the “Family of God” since her childhood. She grew up in the Anglican Church, but through the years has attended a wide variety of other churches, including Methodist, Charismatic, Southern Baptist, Lutheran, Evangelical and Presbyterian. She has been a part of para-church organizations as well, such as Aglow International. Erin appreciates the unique teachings and gifts that characterize these different parts of the Body of Christ.
Education: Erin earned a B.A. in Communication from Regis University. She graduated summa cum laude in 2005. She was able to design much of her coursework to examine the dynamics of abuse and the overriding facets of freedom in many different spheres of life, from home to higher education, church to government, classical history to popular culture.
Volunteer work: In efforts to serve the most vulnerable among us, Erin was on the founding board of the Interfaith Hospitality Network. It unites churches to house and feed homeless families. She also served on the board of Alternatives to Violence and has a particular concern for battered women and their children.Erin enjoyed giving frequent presentations to the wonderful people attending the Chapel service at the Fort Collins Rescue Mission. She also developed and facilitated the Community-Wide Shoe Drive for eight years. This effort collected more than 21,000 pairs of shoes for those in need in Northern Colorado and beyond.
Seminars and trainings: Through the years, the topics have included spiritual warfare, domestic violence, human trafficking, business development and youth ministry.
Political advocacy: Erin is grieved by the lack of academic freedom in our nation’s universities. For a season, she was politically active to help bring attention to this issue and suggest solutions. She believes the greatest solution is to introduce these students to a saving knowledge of Christ, then encourage them to embrace the risks and rewards of living out their values and faith on campus and in other parts of their lives.
Consulting: Since 1998,as the owner of Mountain Stream Communications Group, Erin has helped Clients with their public relations and marketing needs. Her Clients have been leaders in the realms of business, nonprofit work, politics and higher education.
Erin still lives in Loveland, Colorado. She delights in the beautiful front-range view of the Rocky Mountains. She loves to worship her Creator through music and spend time with her family. She also likes to read, watch films, play the piano, dance and walk trails at sunrise.
